The Thing At The End Of The Hall

The dark abyss of the hallway consumed all the light coming from the flashlight I held in my trembling hands. I steadied my hands. The moist cold air filled my lungs as I took a deep breath. It made me cough and I spat on the ground. I knew I couldn't stop now. I had come this far. I shuffled down the wet tile floors; pointing the flashlight in front of me like a gun. I wish I had a gun but  the department doesn't hand out guns to everyone. Especially interns like me. I can hear my supervisor's wails and screams down the hall way. He sounded very far away yet I felt the uneasy presence. What the hell was going on? I knew I wasn't allowed to be in this section of the building but I had to find out what took my my supervisor and save him.

All of a sudden his screaming stopped. The air was silent. I felt a chill run down my spin. About a hundred meters down the long hallway, I can make out a figure laying on the ground motionless. 

"Henry? Is that you? Are you alright?" I shouted. I didn't expect an answer. I already knew he was gone. 

A human like shadow appeared down the hallway. It looked like a human but its limbs, head, and hands looked disproportionate for its large size. It moved awkwardly as if it was stiff. It dragged its long arms behind it. It slowly headed towards me and i can hear it groweling. I lost it then. I bolted from the direction I came from. It didn't talk long for me to reach the steel doors. I quickly turned the hatch handle and opened the door. I ran in and shut it behind me and locked it. The monster started to bang on the steel door . It must have been right behind me. I just made it. That's when I noticed that I had peed my pants.
